Love Island's Joshua Ritchie got so drunk he chased an ITV producer around naked.

The series one star, 33, first starred on the show back in 2015 when he was just 21 years old.

"There were about four or five of us and I think it was after we got pied off so we had a 'pie-off' date.

"Then we had bottles of champagne at the date so I ended up drinking a full bottle of champagne, so when I got back I was already steaming and they put more drink in the villa.

"I ended up drinking a lot and considering I hadn't drunk properly in six-eight weeks, it really hit me.

"Then I woke up in the morning and I couldn't remember a thing and people were like 'You were chasing the producer around naked'."

He continued: "I couldn't remember a thing and apparently I ran to jump on the bed, and I missed the bed and fell down the gap.

"I don't know if it is 100% true but that's what they told me.

"I didn't feel awkward, it is what it is, they had probably already seen everything anyway – when I'd been in the shower."

Joshua also described his time in the villa as a "whirlwind" and said he "went in as a boy and came out as a man".

He explained: "The biggest difference between now and our series is we were guinea pigs.

"It was 'make or break' that show, none of us knew what we doing or what was happening, we were like puppets.

"We were literally trapped in a bubble and we didn't know anything. It's mad really. Yeah, the older ones are definitely better.

"I'm not rating this one – it's so dry it needs someone to spice it up or something to spice it up. I feel like they're all playing it way too safe. Bore off, you've been in there a week."

But would he make a bombshell return like Adam Collard?

He answered: "It depends on what scenario it was in but if I was single then, for sure, if they asked me back. But I am single now – so let's see if they give me a call."
