It has been revealed that Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti generated more half of the votes to take home the title of Love Island 2022 winners.
According to ITV, the pair received 63.69% of the public vote, while Gemma Owen and Luca Bish – who came in second – had only 14.47%.
Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope came in third place, and had 11.77% of the vote, as Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page were fourth with 10.07%.
The news of the voting figures comes after ITV announced that a whopping 3.4 million people tuned in to watch the finale last night, Monday 1 August.
This made it the biggest finale since 2019, up 100,000 viewers year on year.
In total, Love Island series 8 has had over 250 million streams this series, making it the most watched series ever on ITV Hub.
Based on overnight TV ratings, the series has averaged 2.7 million viewers across the run, making it the second highest rating behind only the 2019 series.
While the show only came to an end less than 24 hours ago, ITV have already opened up applications for next year's series.
