Love Island host Iain Sterling took a savage swipe at Gemma Owen and Luca Bish as ITV bosses welcomed five new residents to the villa.

During Wednesday’s visit (July 27) to the Spanish villa, fans of the ITV2 dating show were treated to the screams of five robotic babies wrapped up in their individual cots waiting for their temporary parents sleeping peacefully upstairs.

The parenting challenge pushed the couples to the limit to see whether they could make things work long term as the countdown to the grand final continues.

As the comic gave viewers the low-down of the 24-hour long challenge, new dad Iain couldn’t help but take a swipe at rocky couple Gemma and Luca who came close to breaking up during last night’s (July 26) argument.

As they returned to the villa, Iain joked: "No that's not another one of Gemma and Luca's fights, its the new residents in the villa."
