Former Love Island star Jacques O'Neill set his sights on recently dumped contestant Anna-May Robey as she left the villa in tears during Wednesday night's (January 25) episode.

Anna-May was chosen by Aussie bombshells Aaron Walters and Jessie Wynter to leave the villa alongside salesman Haris Namani.

In previous episodes, Anna-May broke down after cooling things off with Kai Fagan as he pursued a new romance with Tanyel Revan.

The official Love Island Instagram account shared the news of Anna-May's and Haris' departure from the villa, adding the caption: "A teary farewell."

Jacques jumped into the comments, writing: "I’ll make sure @annamayrobey is okay.

Elsewhere in the comments, fans shared their thoughts on Anna-May being dumped from the island, with some demanding that she "deserved better".

"Feel for Anna-May she deserved better," one typed.

"I feel bad for Anna-May cos she was just being herself, yeah people called her boring but she was taking things slow and didn't want to rush," a second added.

A third wrote: "Anna May should have been given the opportunity to find someone and Tanyel should have gone instead."

Another put: "Anna May shouldn’t of gone at all, she had a chance and the same with haris, i think that tanyel and kai should have gone."

"Bless Haris and Anna-may we’re such darlings. Didn’t want to see anyone go tonight. They were my faves. Absolutely gutted," a fifth commented.

Jacques' love for Welsh women is still intact after his whirlwind romance with former Love Island star Paige Thorne turned sour in last summer's series, resulting in him choosing to leave the show.

Paige went on to couple up with legendary bombshell Adam Collard. but their relationship came to an end shortly after leaving the villa following rumours that he had cheated on the paramedic.
