Love Island’s Maxwell Samuda confirms he’s ‘dating’ after Olivia Hawkins split

Love Island's Maxwell Samuda has revealed that he's currently "dating" following his brief romance with co-star Olivia Hawkins.

The 24-year-old appeared in the winter series of the hit dating show earlier this year, turning Olivia's head as a Casa Amor bombshell.

Following their blossoming romance in the villa, Maxwell and Olivia were dumped from the villa days before the final, but they still continued their relationship away from the show.

But things weren't to be, as they soon called time on their romance in April- a month after leaving the villa.

However, Maxwell has admitted that he's now putting himself back on the market as he confirmed that although he is busy with work he is dating.

Talking exclusively to Daily Star, Maxwell said he is "done with dating shows".

And when asked whether he was dating now, he said: "I would just say that I'm not interested in getting to know many people at the moment.

"But I would say I am dating but I'm not very available at the moment, that's what I would say."

When quizzed on whether he's still in contact with his ex- Olivia, Maxwell went on to state that they are no longer in contact but he wishes her all the best.

He continued: "Me and Olivia don't really speak to each other really and truly, so there's no bad blood or hard feelings from my side at all.

"I very much wish her all the best and hope she's doing great with everything that she wants to work towards but yeah, I don't really bump into her.

"We don't really go to the same things or the same places or stuff, so there is no reason for us to speak to each other," he explained.

Earlier this year, Maxwell revealed the real reason for why he and Olivia decided to part ways and revealed it is often different when you leave the villa.

Talking on the Murad Merali Podcast, he said: "The main thing I would say with the whole situation, when you're in the villa and even just after the villa but you're still in South Africa together, it's a very different environment.

"All that you have to focus on in that period of time is each other and kind of just being on holiday together and it's kind of easy to have a great time when you're on holiday.

"But once you come back home and there are all these other things going on that then take your attention and take your focus."
