Coronation Street Adam Barlow discovers Sarah Platt’s baby DNA results

Corrie: Sarah tells Damon to stay away from her

Coronation Street’s Adam Barlow (played by Sam Robertson) is set to learn whether or not he’s the father of Sarah Platt’s (Tina O’Brien) baby.

Recently, fans of the ITV soap have witnessed Sarah allow Adam to believe he’s the dad as he started to suffer from panic attacks.

Although it looks as though he doesn’t fully trust her as official spoilers reveal he’s about to take matters into his own hands.

As she heads off to help pick up Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) belongings from the flat with Gail Platt (Helen Worth), Sarah’s shocked to see the paternity results she threw away with his stuff.

Later on, she has a sonogram where she learns her baby is healthy and suggests a blood test for them to know the sex.

Although it’s when the sonographer offers a genetic disease test that Adam realises something isn’t right.

Despite both him and Gail assuring Sarah that there aren’t any illnesses in their families, it’s clear to Adam that she’s uneasy.

When Daniel Osborne (Rob Mallard) asks Adam how the scan went, he suffers another panic attack as the reality that Sarah has lied to him again sinks in.

Confiding in his friend that he noticed his wife’s discomfort, he admits to not trusting her.

Adam then tells Sarah he wants to be certain he’s the father and has requested written confirmation from the clinic.

Later on, she finds Adam clutching the letter with the paternity results inside as he rips it open desperate for the truth.

Bracing herself that Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths) could be the father, she prepares for the worst.

However, in a turn of events, Adam breaks into a smile and shows Sarah that he’s the father.

Delighted with the outcome, he decides to throw a surprise gender reveal party for the Weatherfield residents to know whether or not the couple are having a boy or girl.

Although parties never go smoothly in Coronation Street, could the special day be ruined by Damon who fled the cobbles earlier this year?

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
