Love Island star Mitch Taylor is eyeing up a slot on the reality show reboot of Big Brother.

The countdown to the new series of Big Brother is on, with just mere weeks left until it graces our screens once again this Autumn.

But that didn’t stop the Sheffield-based gas-engineer, 26, from admitting he’d like to appear on the show.

Engaging with his followers during an Instagram live, the star answered questions about Love Island and more.

One fan dared to ask if he'd consider joining Big Brother, to which Mitch responded with a sly side-eye selfie and a simple: "Probs."

Speculation is now rife amongst fans who claimed on Reddit that “Messy Mitch” would be a great housemate.

“Messy Mitch on BB YES PLEASE!” said one fan.

“He caused so much trouble and always bit**ed behind everyone’s back I think he’d be amazing on the show,” penned a second.

The Love Island Season 2023 finale aired recently, crowning Jess Harding and Sammy Root as the winners.

Since then, the islanders have been active on social media, responding to their fans' burning questions.

Mitch was in fact a very memorable character during his time on Love Island and certainly didn't shy away from drama.

He once tried to convince Jess to ditch Sammy and played both sides by sneaking around with Kady McDermott and Zach Noble.

Let's not forget his attempts to win over Molly Marsh while stepping on a few toes in the process and talking about Zach behind his back.

And who can forget that infamous speech at The Grafties that led Scott to call him a “di**head”.

Though the exact premiere date remains a mystery, Big Brother is expected to arrive sometime in the autumn, according to ITV.

Answering some other burning fan questions, Mitch revealed he suffered an injury when winner Jess pied him in the face during a challenge.

The season 10 contestant confessed he suffered a split lip during the task.

One person asked: "How did it feel getting all those pies?" They were referring to the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge, where Mitch received the most amount of pies to the face due to his antics with Abi and Ella B.

He replied saying: "To be honest with you, don't cry over spilt cream for starters. And Jess did throw one at me that hard that it bust my top lip. Which she apologised for, so no one even attempt to give her hate. Because a challenge is a challenge. But, I didn't mind it. Had a bit of a facial, and I'm chilling."
