LOVE Island star Luca Bish has refused to appear in his girlfriend Gemma Owen's videos – issuing a stinging put-down of the show.

The dating competition runner-up could be seen avoiding the camera as Gemma, 19, filmed them making dinner last night.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the Love Island star showed off as she and her beau Luca, 23, made dinner at her £4million home.

The professional horse rider could be seen filming the ingredients for their dinner before turning her phone and zooming in on Luca.

As he tried to get away, she scolded him and grabbed his arm: "Don't be camera shy! You were on national television for two months."

He hit back – making a sly dig at his time in the villa and the fan reaction back home: "Yes, and look how that went."

Luca continued to walk away as Gemma burst out into laughter, before she showed off their chicken and pasta dinner dish.

It comes after Luca revealed that Gemma had let him watch her ride her beloved horse – despite her being against the idea in the villa.

The fishmonger revealed the news as he filmed Gemma in the saddle yesterday as Gemma appeared completely confident as she trotted on the 17-year-old Stedinger gelding.

Alongside the clip, Luca added a snippet of a previous conversation between him and Gemma on Love Island.

The video showed the pair relaxing in the villa as they discussed their plans for the outside world.

Luca asked: "What's the first thing you want to do after seeing your family?" to which Gemma quickly replied: "Ride a horse."

Luca added: "Will I be able to come with you?" as Gemma hit back: "No, I don't know if I'd like you watch me ride."

"I'd bloody love it," Luca had said, as Gemma shook her head at him.

It comes days after Luca accused Love Island producers of trying to sabotage his romance with Gemma.

According to the star, there was a plot behind the scenes in the early days of the series for him to develop a spark with Paige Thorne and Tasha Ghouri.

Speaking to Grazia Daily, Luca revealed: "I actually wanted to pull Gemma from the start but they [producers] kept holding me back so I could focus on the connections I had at the time."

In the same interview, he also admitted he "went too far" during his row with Tasha after admitting he "watched the show back".

On accusations he exhibited controlling behaviour toward Gemma, he added: "Watching it back, I can hold my hands up and agree with that – I was. There are parts where I'm thinking this is not how I behave on the outside world. Why did I do that?"
