Married At First Sight UK fans were left distracted after Shona Manderson shared a loved-up snap with her partner, and former co-star, Matt Pilmoor.

Despite the pair being partnered with other individuals on the show, the couple have struck up a romance together andannounced the exciting news in an exclusive interview with OK! .

And since announcing the news, the couple’s relationship has gone from strength to strength and the pair often gush over one another on social media.

But in a recent post, fans of the duo were left confused after 31 year old Shona shared a photo of her and Matt working out together at the gym.

In the snap, Matt, 29, showed off his physique as he went topless, while Shona opted for a pair of grey leggings and a sleeveless top – alongside a pair of Ugg boots.

In response, some eagle-eyed social media users couldn’t help but point out Shona’s unusual choice of gym footwear, with one wondering whether she changed out of the boots in order to complete her workout.

“Tell me Shona changed from the Uggs,” wrote one Instagram user. “Not the uggs in the gym,” another added.

Meanwhile, a third said: “You know you're strong when you can wear uggs."

The fan reaction comes after Shona revealed earlier this month that she and Matt were an item, despite not being a couple while on Married At First Sight.

Speaking to OK! about the news, Shona, from Nottingham, revealed that she went on her first date with Matt almost five months ago and that they’re relationship is “healthy” and “happy”.

She said: “We have a really healthy, happy, safe, fun, relationship – I really appreciate Matt so much, it’s what I deserve, we deserve each other. I’m proud to be his girlfriend and it just works.”

However, with their relationship forming before the show hit our screens, Shona and Matt were tasked with keeping their relationship a secret “for months”, meaning that they had to be “so careful” about being seen in public.

“Matt would be driving and I would be in the back, we would be walking around Nottingham and I'd be all the way over there, we were like secret agents on a mission,” Shona said.

And while the pair might not have had the most conventional start to their love story, Matt added that everything happens for “a purpose”.

“Being together from the start would have been incredible but I think it happened this way around for a purpose,” he explained.

“It just works, I didn't expect it and when I first saw Shona I didn’t think we’d end up together, I thought she was very attractive.”
