Married At First Sight UK star Shona Manderson has revealed she will return to the E4 reality show for the reunion episode following her rocky relationship with model and co-star Brad Skelly.

And Shona, 31, cheekily revealed that the reunion has already happened as she teased the highly anticipated episode during a new interview on the MAFS Hysteria podcast.

The performing arts teacher was paired with Brad, 27, on the E4 show and while their relationship started off well thanks to their instant connection, it soon turned sour and they were both asked to leave MAFS with the experts deeming their romance 'toxic'.

Shona, who is now reportedly dating new groom Matt Pilmoor, has since spoken out about her relationship with Brad, and the time she took to learn about herself and the experience after the show.

In the new podcast, hosted by Omar Abid, Claire Limmer-Abid and Sarah Clarke, Shona admitted that jetted off to Sri Lanka to take some time for herself to heal after her split with Brad.

She said: "We got sent home at the end of April, we were together for about five or six weeks, then I went to Sri Lanka at the beginning of June and then went back to the reunion obviously."

She then admitted she wasn't sure if she'd made a mistake as she added: "I don't know if I'm allowed to say that…"

As Shona continued, she explained how she went on a solo holiday to recoup after the emotional experience.

Talking about the reunion, she said: "I had a great tan, I just came back from Sri Lanka, I felt really good!

"Going to Sri Lanka on my own, just taking that time, I just stayed in yoga vibe places, did my yoga teacher training and journalled loads.

"I just really spent time thinking, 'ok that was really painful and hard, but what have you learned, what are you going to take forward in life and what are you never ever going to stand for again'?"

Later in the podcast, Shona discussed what she's taken away from the experience as she revealed she wants to learn to "honour herself more" in relationships.

Plus she teased an exciting update to her current love life as she added that she's trying to learn from her MAFS experience and allow it to be more of a "slow burner".

On the whole, Shona insisted she was "grateful" for the show and believes Brad came into her life to teach her some lessons.

Shona's revelation about the reunion episode comes as The Sun reported that MAFS UK is set for an "explosive" bonus episode because of how much drama there’s been in the series so far.

According to the publication, the one-off special will give fans a chance to catch up on all the dramas and tensions that have unfolded off camera between the show’s brides and grooms while the series has been airing.

A show insider said: "This series of Married at First Sight started filming way back in February, and there was also a reunion filmed in July – so it was all in the can before any of this series had been aired."
