Married At First Sight star Robert Voysey aka Big Bob has revealed behind the scenes secrets about his time on the show last year.

Looking back on his experimental wedding to wellness coach Megan Wolfe, Bob confessed their wedding kiss had to be filmed five or six times, confessing: "None of it felt natural – it was the most mental day of my life."

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Bob recalled: "I remember Megan going, 'Guys this is getting a bit awkward now, I've never even kissed someone in front of my family before, and now I've just done it five f*****g times with a stranger'."

Bob and Megan were also forced to have their first conversations on camera and weren't allowed to talk or get to know each other in private.

Bob said: "They were like, 'We don't want you guys to have private conversations off-camera because we want to catch all your first conversations.'"

Turning to the booze to ease the tiredness of filming multiple retakes, Bob remembers having nothing better to do on his 'wedding day' but get drunk: "I was just turning around to producers like, 'I just want to be able to have a chat with my wife.

"I'm being pulled from pillar to post here and I'm sitting on my own on my wedding day just getting drunk'."

Dinner parties were reportedly the worst for drinking, as only one out of the three dinners that were filmed were completed in full, with the others being halted by producers following heated rows.

Bob confessed that due to the long filming hours the contestants were subjected to for the main MAFS feature, they would all sneak in bottles of alcohol and get drunk.

"Everyone was sneaking bottles of wine, vodka in and getting smashed in their rooms. It was brilliant," Bob boasted.

The alcohol was said to have fuelled an even bigger-than-seen reaction from Nikita Jasmine during her infamous row with co-star Jordan Mundell.

"It all kicked off so much with Nikita and was 10 times worse off camera, so they cancelled the dinner party and we all had to go back to our apartments.

"People were literally storming off set, back through where all the producers and camera crew were, effing and blinding," Bob confirmed.

The outburst from Nikita lead to her being permanently removed from the show.
