MARRIED At First Sight UK fans have slammed a "fake" part of the show – saying it's "so obvious" that it has been "staged".

Viewers of the controversial E4 dating show sees strangersmarry on their first meeting – with their families told for the first time when the cameras turn up on the doorstep.

Viewers have watched on this week as a number of strangers have met at the altar to be married in front of their nearest and dearest.

Contestants are seen having to tell their families about the weddings on screen, before they attend the ceremony shortly after.

However, fans of Married At First Sight have slammed the show – after suggesting the families know about the weddings beforehand.

They hit out on social media that it would be "obvious" due to the presence of the "TV crew" in their homes before the scenes.

Another chimed in: "The family all having the fake look of surprise on their faces when we know damn well they've all heard of MAFS."

"Why are the family shocked. Didn't they tell them they were applying or are they shocked it's happening?" a third said.

While a fifth concluded: "Family member: I'm so shocked! The film crew at dinner didn't give it away?"

It comes after Married At First Sight fans were left in shock after bride to be April Banbury revealed she had taken up an extreme sport on the show.

The former Miss GB – and current contestant on the controversial dating show – revealed that she's been flying PLANES in her spare time.

After revealing she had won the Miss Great Britain pageant title, she said: "I'm learning to fly a plane! I believe that we've got one life, so live it. I want to do as much as I can."

Elsewhere on the first show last night, April revealed her reasons for taking part in the dating experiment on E4.

"I never get chatted up in a bar," she said. “Men do not approach me ordinarily, which is why I turned to online dating.”

Fans were left shocked after April and George's wedding – when he revealed he already had FOUR children.
