Masked Singer faces show shake-up as three celebrities set to join judging panel

The Masked Singer is set to undergo a major shake-up as three new celebrities are set to join the judging panel, according to The Sun.

The star-studded panel is made up of Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan and the team will sit beside a few familiar faces for a one-off special.

Former England striker Peter Crouch is returning to familiar territory following his impressive stint on the second series of The Masked Dancer in 2022.

Catchphrase presenter Stephen Mulhern and comedian Lee Mack will also join the 42-year-old alongside the four regular judges.

This Saturday marks the quarter-finals and seven celebrities will be cut down to just five in a brutal double elimination.

The remaining celebrities battling it out include Fawn, Jacket Potato, Rhino, Jellyfish, Knitting, Otter and Phoenix.

Following a tense sing-off with Jacket Potato, comedian Katherine Ryan left the judges stunned when she was unveiled as Pigeon.

After the big reveal, Katherine told viewers: "I love Pigeon because she's a sassy nana. An East End bird. A real grafter. And crucially, a fan of hip hop who can bust a move.

"The Masked Singer is one of the very few shows that we can all thoroughly enjoy as a family.

"I love theatre and thought that even though I'm not a professional singer, I could have some fun and sell it on personality while surprising my children with the reveal".

The Canadian star went on to address the judges incorrect guesses, adding: "I was flattered the panel thought I might actually be from Essex like Gemma Collins or Stacey Solomon.

"They even guessed Maya Jama which – to be honest – I'm mistaken for often even without a mask. We are very similar, both stunning and talented."

The reveal came as a particular shock as the show was filmed when Katherine was just one month away from giving birth to her baby girl.

Katherine welcomed Fenna in December – her second child with partner Bobby Kootstra.
