Matthew Wolfenden’s ‘new girlfriend’ seen leaving theatre just as ex Charley Webb arrives

Charley Webb very nearly bumped into estranged husband Matthew Wolfenden's rumoured new girlfriend Heather Scott-Martin at a theatre production, in an awkward moment.

Former Emmerdale star Charley, 35, and Matthew, 43, have called time on their five-year marriage and Matthew is now reportedly dating professional dancer and personal trainer Heather, with the pair being spotted on a cosy night out in London. The actor has also furiously denied any reports that he's been unfaithful to Charley.

Despite their split, Charley took hers and Matthew's three sons – Buster, 13, Bowie, eight, and Ace, four – to watch him in Elf The Musical in at The Dominion Theatre in London's West End on Saturday, 16 December.

However, as Charley was dropping her three sons off at the theatre, she very nearly bumped into Heather, who was exiting the venue at the same time. The duo missed each other by just seconds, with Heather rushing off.

Heather is currently working as the Swing/Dance Captain in the West End musical, while Matthew stars in the production as Buddy. The pair appear to have grown close and have been spotted looking loved-up in the capital over recent weeks.

However, it's been reported that Heather is unhappy about being linked to Matthew and Charley's marriage breakdown and has been trying not to be seen with him.

A source told The Sun: “She was trying not to be seen with him, standing away from the stage door when he emerged from show rehearsals and shows. But now the cat is out of the bag.

“Heather is a clean cut, popular woman who was desperate not to be painted as Matthew’s ‘other woman’. She’s not happy about being thrust into the conversation of his celebrity marriage breakdown.”

Charley and Matthew announced their split on Wednesday, 22 November in a statement shared to Instagram. Charley told her followers: “It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake, we would appreciate privacy at this time."

Matthew also shared the same statement, but from his perspective on his social media. He signed it off with "M".

The couple met on the set of Emmerdale and began dating in 2007 before revealing they were expecting their first child in 2009. The pair share three children together Buster, 13, Bowie, eight, and Ace, four.
