Max Turner (Paddy Bever) is continuing to follow Griff Reynold’s (Michael Condron) orders in Coronation Street.
We know that Max is being manipulated and drawn into Griff’s extremism gang. The members share far-right political views and are trying to make their voices heard. Tonight, that came in the form of a protest outside the community centre.
Prior to this, Max and Dylan (Liam McCheyne) were in the café.
We know Dylan has only recently made a permanent move to Weatherfield, so he’s still busy making new friends and adjusting to life on the cobbles.
He’s previously mentioned hanging out at the precinct and in the café, he was interested when Max told him about an online forum he often goes on.
Dylan was intrigued as he learnt the members communicate via voice notes and often play games, happily accepting Max’s invitation to join.
Later on, Maria (Samia Longchambon) was busy getting a new refugee hub set up at the community centre.
Joined by Munir and Daryan (Twana Omer), Maria’s day got worse when Griff and his entourage arrived.
Griff told Maria and an arriving Sally (Sally Dynevor) that it’s more important for people of this country to ‘look after their own’, not people from overseas.
Back in the flat, Max continued to absorb everything Griff had to say.
He offered to get more signatures on the online petition and agreed to chat to his school mates about the online forum – something Dylan will soon join…but will he also be lured into the gang as he absorbs racist and completely false views?
