Peggy’s was recently rocked by an armed siege in which Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) was shot as she defended the premises in EastEnders.

What a hero; she deserves all our sympathy, right?

Well, no.

She has taken a big risk and it was confirmed when she met up with the person who was the lead gunman, and it turned out that she had orchestrated the whole thing.

The Mitchell empire has been in disarray as the women in Phil’s (Steve McFadden) life have struggled to work together.

Arguments and bitterness have taken their toll between Sam, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

With Sam taking rash actions such as sacking staff and Kat feeling undermined by Sharon’s closeness to Phil, things have been in disarray.

And that’s before the regular targeting they have faced from enemies.

But cunning Sam has her eye on the prize and is willing to take drastic action to get what she wants – including being shot.

With Sharon and Kat feeling that Sam put herself at risk to save them, little do they know that she is plotting all the way to destroy them.

But as she carries on with her aims, will she get out of her depth and will Phil discover the full truth about what is going on back home?

As Sam puts the next stages of the plot together, she is soon rocked when someone finds out what she is up to?

But the person in question has a surprise request in store that knocks Sam off guard.

Will she be dropped in it or can she appease her potential blackmailer?

Elsewhere, Kat is sick of Phil’s bond with Sharon, feeling that they must still be in love.

Tonight, she confronted Phil but has he persuaded her that nothing is going on?

Things are in a right mess – and only going to get worse as Phil makes a dangerous enemy inside.

Threatened with murder, will the Mitchells be rocked as Phil faces a fight to the death?

Or will the indestructible Phil live to fight another day?
