EAGLE-EYED Morning Live viewers noticed a star went missing from the BBC One show just a week after it returned to screens.

The breakfast programme went off air for three weeks this summer, but shortly after returning to its regular schedule presenter Gethin Jones was nowhere to be seen.

After being absent from Friday September 1 through Monday September 4, the Welsh TV personality revealed the reason why he was away.

The 45-year-old posted a series of sweet snaps from France where he had been celebrating the wedding of former rugby player Jamie Roberts and brand designer Nicole Ramson.

He captioned the photos of the happy newlyweds saying: "I know. Aren’t they gorgeous? Just like the whole weekend.

"It was so special to share @nicoleramson & @jamiehuwroberts big day! Tears, laughs and full of love.

His first picture is of the married couple posing with a bouquet of white roses, smiling at the camera.

Another photo shows off the beautiful outdoor set up for the reception meal, with a long table decorated with roses beside a swimming pool.

In other snaps Gethin mingles with the guests wearing black suits and drinking cocktails.
