My Mum, Your Dad: Monique becomes emotional

My Mum, Your Dad viewers took to social media to “warn” single mum Monique “Don’t do it!” as she considered ditching Martin H for new man Martin M.

Fans of the new ITV series were delighted as Monique seemed to hit it off with Martin H, who arrived during Wednesday’s programme.

Monique had been very closed off and admitted it “takes a special person” to get her interested.

She was delighted to find she instantly felt a spark with Martin H and her daughter Taiya even started crying with happiness as she saw the pair enjoying a sweet date.

However, “over-confident” Martin M soon arrived on the scene and Monique’s eye had clearly been caught once again.

Instantly, fans pleaded with Monique via social media not to throw away her special connection with Martin H.

@MissTartiniTwo begged: “Do not ditch lovely Martin for that Ibiza Martin Monique – please #MyMumYourDad.”

“I’m worried about Monique splitting from Martin H to go with Martin M. Don’t do it, Monique. #MyMumYourDad,” @2001joe_mendy added.

@albiongirl68 added: “New Martin certainly changed things up comes across as arrogant difficult to warm. Stay away Monique #MyMumYourDad.” (sic)

Others were keen to find out more about the new Martin though, with @twade78 posting: “New Martin oozes confidence! The show now has the cat among the pigeons #MyMumYourDad.”

Sadly for Martin H, it seems Monique had indeed had her head turned by the newbie.

Feeling concerned, Martin M took Monique for a chat and explained his worries about the new Martin, especially since he lived in Ibiza – a place Monique said she was eager to live.

Monique made it clear she was interested in the new Martin as Martin H remarked: “Oh, Monique, Monique, Monique…”
