NEIGHBOURS fans have ripped into Channel 5 – branding them 'disgusting' after they reported on the soap's return.
The show came back to television on Monday after more than a year off air.
It was axed by Channel 5 in 2022 as they pulled out of jointly funding the programme with Channel 10 in Australia.
With Neighbours fans delighted by its highly anticipated return, they've once again been left seething by C5.
During last night's 5News bulletin the presenters covered the soap's revival and even aired a clip of the dramatic premiere episode.
It's provoked fans to rage 'how dare they' at station bosses for mentioning the beloved series after dumping it from its schedules.

And that isn't all that confused loyal Neighbours fans, as a huge twist shocked them at the end of the episode.
Viewers were left open-mouthed as Terese prepared to marry who they thought was Paul.
However, as she walked down the aisle it was Toadie waiting for the bride.
It was then revealed how Toadie and Melanie – who married in the last ever episode on Channel 5 – had split up.
