A NETFLIX favourite has been cancelled after just one series, leaving furious fans threatening to cancel their subscription.
1899 won't be returning for a second series, following the first series debuting last year.
German film director bo Odar confirmed the news on social media.
He said: "With a heavy heart we have to tell you that 1899 will not be renewed.
"We would have loved to finish this incredible journey with a 2nd and 3rd season as we did with Dark. But sometimes things don’t turn out the way you planned.
"That’s life. We know this will disappoint millions of fans out there.

Following the news, fans have reacted on social media – with some even threatening to cancel their Netflix subscriptions.
"Sad to say I called this rubbish news about 1899. Predictable old Netflix strikes again," said one fan.
