Nicola McLean slams Loose Women stars for ‘letting Charlene White off the hook’

Nicola McLean argued that Charlene White's Loose Women co-stars have "let her off the hook".

The Page 3 icon stated I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!'s Charlene has let Matt Hancock get away lightly during their time in the jungle, despite her claiming she was going to "grill" him.

Talking exclusively to the Daily Star during a Facebook Live, Nicola said: "I'm really shocked at Charlene who yeah told him about her aunt in a care home or whatever but as soon as he asks for forgiveness and fake crocodile tears she's there cuddling him.

"I just couldn't do it. Maybe I'm not as nice of a person. I just won't forgive that easily.

"I saw Loose Women earlier and Janet Street-Porter was saying what I was saying but she had to be nicer because it's her co-presenter.

"But she said they're liking him at the minute because they're starving and he's bringing food.

"Hold on a minute, they're not starving, they are celebrities being paid a fortune to be in the jungle. Speak to children who are starving because their parents can't afford to heat their homes because of the way the health minister at the time behaved."

Nicola then added that she had watched the Loose Women team's response to Charlene being nice to Matt.

She explained: "They've all been pretty nice but you could definitely see that Ruth and Janet did not agree with it.

"Janet has done the jungle but said if she was in there when Matt was there, she would have either physically attacked him or she would have walked out.

"But they were pretty tame about it they can't really say much and they said she's just a lovely person and she will cuddle someone if they cry but I think it goes beyond that. Is she worried to say more and worrying about the bullying card which gets thrown around?

"I still think you can't go onto a reality show and hold back, you're there to entertain us, so entertain us.

"I do think we are being let down by people's reluctance to be cancelled."
