One Piece on Netflix has a huge cast – here’s where you’ve seen them before

Netflix’s live-action version of One Piece has landed with eight episodes for viewers to get their teeth stuck into.

The series is based on the highly successful manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda.

One Piece has many characters with viewers wondering why some of the stars look so familiar.

Who is in the cast of One Piece on Netflix?

Monkey D. Luffy – Iñaki Godoy

Mexican actor Iñaki Godoy leads as the starry-eyed Monkey D. Luffy, who has high hopes of finding the legendary One Piece treasure and becoming the king of the pirates.

The actor has previously featured in The Imperfects, MexZombies, La querida del Centauro and Who Killed Sara?

Roronoa Zoro – Mackenyu

Japanese-American star Mackenyu takes on the role of the noble, triple-sword-wielding Roronoa Zoro.

The star already has a huge Instagram following with 3.1million fans and is known for parts in various Asian TV shows and has appeared in Fullmetal Alchemist: The Revenge of Scar and Knights of the Zodiac.

Nami – Emily Rudd

American star Emily Rudd portrays the tangerine-haired Nami, who is something of a shady figure.

Rudd appeared in Netflix’s horror trilogy Fear Street, Amazon Prime Video’s Hunters and The Romanoffs and The CW’s reboot of Dynasty.

Usopp – Jacob Romero

Jamaican star Jacob Romero plays Usopp, a wannabe pirate who favours the catapult as his weapon of choice.

The rising star is also known for Greenleaf with small parts in Grey’s Anatomy, All Rise, The Resident and Black Prom.

British veteran star Vincent Regan is Admiral Garp with the actor no stranger to screens thanks to roles in Troy, 300, Snow White and the Huntsman, Clash of the Titans, ITV’s Victoria, Poldark and Before We Die.

Helmeppo – Aidan Scott

Aidan Scott is Koby’s fellow Marine cadet Helmeppo with the actor having starred in The Kissing Booth 2, Between the Devil, The Power and Theodore Roosevelt.

Buggy – Jeff Ward

American star Jeff Ward takes on psychotic clown pirate Buggy and counts credits in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Brand New Cheery Flavor, Hacks and Manson’s Lost Girls.

Arlong – McKinley Belcher III

Veteran American actor McKinley Belcher III is fishman Captain Arlong with the star having an incredible career spanning from the likes of Ozark, Marriage Story, The Passage to The Good Lord Bird, We Own This City and Trial by Fire, among many other roles.

Mihawk – Steven Ward

Steven Ward plays the world’s greatest swordsman Mihawk with the South African star also appearing in Catch Me A Killer, Vagrant Queen, Queen Sono and The Day We Didn’t Meet.

Shanks – Peter Gadiot

British star Peter Gadiot takes on Luffy’s father figure and fellow pirate Shanks with the actor most recognisable for his role in The US Network’s Queen of the South, Yellowjackets, Matador and Apple TV+’s Silo.

Chef Zeff – Craig Fairbrass

British star Craig Fairbrass is the Baratie restaurant’s head chef Zeff with the actor previously appearing in Cliffhanger, Villain, A Violent Man, Rise of the Footsoldier and Breakdown, among other credits.

Nojiko – Chioma Umeala

Nigerian-South African Chioma Umeala plays Nami’s adoptive sister Nojiko with the actor also appearing in Isono and The Woman King.

Alvida – Ilia Isorelýs Paulino

Ilia Isorelýs Paulino is the brutal pirate Alvida, who takes no prisoners with the actress best known for her roles in HBO’s The Sex Lives of College Girls, Queenpins and Me Time.

Kaya – Celeste Loots

Celeste Loots is rich orphan heiress Kaya with the actress also appearing in Projek Dina, The Date and FDR.

Klahadore – Alexander Maniatis

Alexander Maniatis plays pirate Klahadore after roles in The Power, Warrior and Ice, among other roles.
