OUR Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen has payed a tribute to her 'chivalrous' son Reuben after he rescued her at Ravenseat farm.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess suffered a small emergency at the 2,000 acre farm.


Although Amanda leads a busy life working on Ravenseat farm, taking care of 1,000 sheep as well as her nine children, she continues to update her followers on social media.

Her latest post was dedicated entirely to her eldest son Reuben, who she praised for coming to her rescue when she got a hole in her wellies.

In her latest post Amanda shared a series of snaps of Reuben building stepping stones for her to cross the Beck after the minor incident.

She captioned the post: "Reuben being chivalrous, doing his Sir Walter Raleigh bit & building stepping stones for me to cross the beck as I’ve got a hole in my welly."

Amanda's tribute came after she announced she's landed a brand new show – Amanda Owen's Extraordinary Farming Lives.

Amanda will visit farms around the country that have had to adapt to modern ways of farming to investigate how they balance tradition with innovation.
