Outlander: Season 7 part 2 teaser for STARZ drama
Outlander fans are once again faced with another long wait – aka “Droughtlander” – until the second part of season 7 returns sometime in 2024.
While waiting for Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) story to continue, they have a bone to pick with production.
Fans want more Jamie and Claire, specifically, the steamy sex scenes that made a lot of people become fans of the show.
While executive producer Maril Davis, is not exactly promising more Jamie and Claire and less storylines for Roger, Brianna, and Young Ian, she is teasing more intimacy when Outlander returns with the rest of season 7.
While addressing fans backlash about Jamie and Claire’s lack of screentime, Maril made it clear that they are following author Diana Gabaldon’s lead.

Despite other characters’ stories seemingly taking up a lot of screen time, everything will always be centered on Sam and Caitriona’s characters.
“Jamie and Claire are the start of that, but they’ve woven these other stories around them, and it’s impossible to tell theirs if you don’t tell everyone else’s,” Maril told Radio Times.
As far as a lack of intimate scenes so far in season 7, Maril explained to fans that things are more complicated with the series than they are in the books.

“Listen, there’s so much stuff you do in early seasons, you can’t necessarily replicate. We’re never going to have another ‘Wedding night,'” she told Insider.
Maril also noted that not all things in the books fit into shooting the intricate series.
Including one particularly racy scene that book readers were quick to point out was noticeably absent from the midseason finale.
“We just didn’t have that space and quite honestly, it just did not feel like part of that story,” Maril said of the fan-favorite moment.
With season 7 of Outlander covering the 6th, 7th, and 8th books in the beloved series there is more ground to cover than in any other season before.
“We’re certainly not ignoring the intimacy. It’s there, but we’re also trying to also show it sometimes in different ways,” she told Insider.
But, fans should not lose all hope though, Maril did tease there could be more to come.
“The overall story of the show is going to change and evolve, and so is their love story,” she said. “It’s going to have ebbs and flows to it.”
Before teasing that there just might be some intimate moments: “Who knows? We’ll see.”
