Outrage as ITV asks small business to lay on free food at The Voice's all-star afterparty | The Sun

ITV HAS been blasted as 'disgraceful' after they asked a small business to lay on free food at The Voice's all-star after party.

The broadcaster has faced stern criticism from viewers after a leaked email appeared to show them asking a small business for free food.

Filming on the 12th series of The Voice UK is due to wrap and bosses are preparing a party to mark the end of the show's run.

Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, Anne-Marie and Olly Murs are all back as coaches for the new series.

Emma Willis is also back to front the long-running singing series.

With just the finale left to film, the crew's attention has turned to the wrap party.

But they've come under fire as a member of production asked a small business to supply them with free products.

The owner of Oh My Cakery in Milton Keynes has shared an email she received from the broadcaster.

In a video posted to TikTok showing the email, the businesswoman said: "Yesterday on International Women's Day a billion pound company valued our small business at zero.

"Actually I think it was less than zero and here's how…"

She went on to share the email from ITV which read: "I am contacting you from ITV's The Voice UK.

"We are almost at the end of Series 12 of The Voice UK and we are due to wrap filming with our Coaches – Will.i.am, Anne-Marie, Olly Murs & Sir Tom Jones!

"The reason I am reaching out to you today is because I am looking to source great products that we can provide at our wrap party – your amazing push up cake pops would be the perfect addition the party attended by all our talent and team!"

However, viewers were left reeling after the crew member said they weren't in a position to pay for any of the products.

They continued: "unfortunately, we at ITV are unable to offer anything monetary or otherwise in return for your products."

Despite not opening their wallets, the person went on to say that "this unique opportunity will give your product exposure to our highly influential coaches and presenter in the studios".

Hitting out at The Voice UK and ITV, one fan said: "This is sad. Multi million pound companies like @ITV, and global singers like @ollymurs, @iamwill, @RealSirTomJones and @AnneMarie and no one can pay a few quid and support a local business."

A second fumed: "This is absolutely disgusting ITV."

"It's not sad, it's bloody disgraceful ITV," said a third.
