Peter Kay announces London gigs for his huge comeback tour | The Sun

PETER Kay has announced he will be performing a monthly residency gig in London as part of his huge comeback today.

The comedian, who revealed his return to stand up over the weekend, will be the first artist in the world to perform each month at The O2 in London.


It will start on December 16 and run until November 18 2023.

Peter famed for hit TV shows Car Share, Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy, has been largely absent from the public eye for the last four years.

His announcement over the weekend confirms The Sun's exclusive in May, which revealed that TV's Car Share star would be returning with a huge tour at venues nationwide.

Bolton-born Kay, 49, will begin with two nights on December 2 and 3 at Manchester's AO Arena.

He will also play Birmingham next month and 2023 gigs in Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Belfast, Newcastle, Birmingham, Dublin, Cardiff and Nottingham.

It will be his first live tour since 2010, when he scored the Guinness World Record for the biggest selling run of all time, playing to more than 1.2 million people.

Speaking about his return, he said: "It's good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there's ever a time people need a laugh it's now.

In 2018 Peter cancelled an upcoming sell-out 100 gig nationwide tour.

Last year Peter appeared at two charity Q&A shows in Manchester for brain cancer patient Laura Nuttall.

O2 and Virgin Media broadband customers will be able to access Priority Tickets to his whole tour 48 hours before general release.

Priority Tickets are on sale from 10am on Thursday 10 November. General sale tickets will be available from Saturday 12 November.
