Phillip Schofield loses We Buy Any Car deal to viral TikTok star in new blow

Phillip Schofield has reportedly lost his We Buy Any Car deal to a viral TikTok star.

The This Morning host, 60, and his co-presenter Holly Willoughby faced a wave of fan criticism after being accused of 'queue-jumping' inside Westminster Hall while the late Queen Elizabeth II was lying in state last month.

Amid the backlash, Phil is believed to have been axed from his £1m partnership with the car buying service.

It is now being reported that The Cube presenter has been replaced by social media sensation Mufasa.

Mufasa, whose real name is Jeff Obeng, shot to fame in October 2019 in a viral TikTok video which saw him dance alongside a moving car to a remix of Nightcrawlers hit Push The Feeling On.

He has since amassed a following of more than 892k fans on the social media platform.

The talented dancer keeps followers entertained with other car dance routines, with a source claiming he was chosen by We Buy Any Car in an attempt to "appeal to a younger audience".

A source told The Sun: "Mufasa is just what the brand needs to inject some energy into the adverts after the backlash following 'queue-gate'.

"Bosses had to make a quick decision after Schofield was axed, and the hope is that a TikTok star will also appeal to a younger audience."

Mufasa was born in the Bronx, New York.

He rose to social media fame alongside his fellow TikTok star Hypeman, whose real name is C.T. Moody.

Following reports of Phil's axing, We Buy Any Car denied it was parting ways with the star due to the queue-jumping scandal.

Their claim follows This Morning defending the presenter and his co-star, writing in a social media statement: "This Morning had press accreditation and like other media, Phillip and Holly were escorted to work from the press gallery by government staff.

"They did not file past The Queen's coffin.

"They were there alongside a host of other broadcasters and national press outlets for an item that will be broadcast on Tuesday's show. Any allegations of improper behaviour are categorically untrue."
