Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley proudly gave viewers a family update on his daughter Chloe Madeley this morning (August 8), revealing the pregnant star is “ready to pop”.

The GMB host was congratulating guest Kevin Maguire, who has welcomed a new granddaughter this weekend, and couldn't resist sharing his joy as he awaits the arrival of his own grandchild.

"She's really well," he said of Chloe, adding that the new arrival is due "any second now."

Richard appeared on Loose Women in June and confirmed Chloe's due date was around 5 August. The presenter, 66, shared the news and told the Loose Women panellists he was excited about the impending arrival saying: "Of course I am because she's having a little girl."

Chloe, 34, announced in March that she was having a baby girl with husband husband James Haskell and shared a fully-naked snap on Instagram, showing off her blossoming baby bump as her due date drew nearer.

In the photo, the expectant new mum looked incredible as she posed in the sun while standing on a balcony. Chloe captioned the image saying that she had been "asked on IG this morning if I’m excited to get back in shape post pregnancy" and she nearly "skipped over" the question over fear of her answer being "misconstrued and misjudged".

She continued: "The answer is yes. I am extremely excited to rehab my body postnatally; my core, my pelvic floor, my glutes, everything that has had to shift, make way and change for my little potato will need to be rehabbed and nursed back to health. I am excited to PATIENTLY watch my physique change again, too."

Referring to her work in the fitness sector, Chloe said: "I work in the body. I have done for a decade. I’ve been passionate about it for longer than that. It was that passion that saw me change my career, my lifestyle, my body and my mental health. I love a performance goal. I love a physique goal. I love what I do."

She added: "This love is CONSTANTLY and CONSISTENTLY deemed as hatred for your female form. Deemed as insecurity born of the patriarchy and or the media. It is SO frowned upon for women to have body goals.

"Why? If your body goal is to stay the same, to become healthier, to become fitter, to become stronger, or to grow and develop a physique, why is one any more valid than the other? So screw it, celebrate your body, even if it doesn’t fit the trend right now. 'Self love' should be an option for EVERYONE, after all."

Chloe has admitted that the third trimester has been a struggle and she's found it the hardest psychologically. In a Q&A on Instagram, Chloe recently opened up when one of her followers asked: "How do you deal with pregnancy anxiety?" and Chloe shared: "I was lucky in that it didn't hit until my third trimester, which has undoubtedly been the hardest for me psychologically speaking."
