Reacher season 2 release time – everything there is to know

Watch the official trailer for Reacher (season two)

After season one concluded in February 2022, fans have been eagerly awaiting Reacher’s second instalment.

The Amazon Prime Video drama is the adaptation of the acclaimed book series author Lee Childs, which follows former US Army military police officer Jack Reacher (played by Alan Ritchson).

He was forced to step into his old shoes and uncover a deadly conspiracy after he was arrested for a murder he didn’t commit.

Although season one came to a satisfying end, Reacher will return to screens this week for the show’s upcoming season.

Thankfully for fans, not only will Ritchson reprise his role for season two but he’s likely to make another comeback as the show received an early renewal for season three.

What time will Reacher season two premiere?

Reacher will make its long-awaited comeback almost two years after it first premiered and will air on Friday, December 15 on Amazon Prime Video.

The episodes will land on the streamer at 12:01 a.m. ET, with eight high-stakes episodes in total.

The premiere will arrive with the instalment’s first three episodes, while the other five will be released weekly on Fridays.

In November, an action-packed trailer was released which teased things would get “bigger” and “badder” for Reacher.

The show’s return marks the end of a drought for patient fans as season two was first confirmed in 2022 following its major success.

The debut season became one of Prime Video’s top five most-watched shows of all time based on its first three days of release.

At the time, Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, stated: “The phenomenal debut of Reacher is a testament to Lee Child’s creation of one of entertainment’s most well-known heroes, Nick Santora’s original approach to the storytelling.

“Alan’s brilliant embodiment of the character, and the dedication of the talented people who worked tirelessly in front of and behind the camera to make such an undeniably binge-worthy series.

“The global impact of Reacher makes it one of Prime Video’s biggest series debuts, and we can’t wait to bring fans a second season of their new favourite show.”
