Real-life Corrie couple Joe Duttine and Sally Carman get into the festive spirit

Coronation Street stars Joe Duttine and Sally Carman are feeling super festive after putting their Christmas tree up.

Joe and Sally play Tim Metcalfe and Abi Franklin in the ITV soap. While their characters aren’t in a relationship – they are!

The couple tied the knot in July of this year, two years after first getting engaged.

Sally shared the happy news with a touching picture of her and Joe, kissing in front of a ring of balloons.

Sally, who wore a gorgeous blue dress for the special occasion, held a glass of champagne in her hand as she kissed new husband Joe, who was sporting a grey cap and blue suit.

‘We did’, she wrote, followed by a yellow heart emoji, which was perhaps a reference to her social media caption from 2020, when she announced her and Joe’s engagement with a simple: ‘I did’.

Back from their honeymoon, Sally and Joe recently took some photographs in front of their Christmas tree – wearing festive jumpers, of course.

The post was part of Sally’s efforts of raising awareness for Shout – a mental health charity that offers support through text messages.

Joe and Sal can be seen wearing jumpers that say ‘You’re pretty’ and ‘You’re handsome’.

The images after feature Sally showing off the other versions – looking comfortable and stylish!

Over in Coronation Street, Tim faced a stressful time this week when Steve (Simon Gregson) refused to give him back his jacket – which had a winning scratch card in the pocket.

For Abi, life has quietened down for her after an incredibly difficult journey. She lost Seb, gave birth to baby Alfie and after a social services battle, is finally settled with her son, Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and Jack (Kyran Bowes).
