“It’s absolutely your choice. But if he said to me – he’s got a lovely girlfriend – if he said to me, ‘We’re engaged.’ I’d immediately be planning my outfit.

The conversation came as Gloria Hunniford revealed her grandson Charlie Lindsay is engaged.

Sharing the news, she told the panel: “The other thing is, and I could cry at this point, Charlie actually wanted a church wedding and he told us he’s getting married in the same church that his mum got married in – and his dad obviously.”

Charlie’s mum, and Gloria’s daughter, after a four-year battle with breast cancer aged 41.

Caron died when Charlie was 10 years old and his brother Gabriel, was seven.

In the same show, Coleen Nolan revealed she had a skin cancer scare after she found a “tiny bit of skin” which wouldn’t go away.

She was told by a dermatologist it was cancer and she needed to start treatment straight away. If the cream she was given, didn’t work, she’d have to have the bit of skin cut out.

Coleen told the panel: “He said, ‘No that is basal cell carcinoma, you need to come back in’.

“And all of a sudden you think, ‘No, no can you just say it’s eczema, please? I didn’t come here for that.'”
