S Club insist door is always open for Hannah as they rubbish feud rumours

S Club have insisted the "door is always open" for Hannah Spearritt to return to the band.

The popular noughties group appeared on Monday's edition of This Morning to promote their new single, These Are The Days where they were interviewed by Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson.

They asked the group how they feel about the latest headlines where sources say Hannah Spearritt feels like she was "pushed out" of the S Club reunion tour which is set to kick off this October.

However, group rubbished the headlines about their former member as they insisted they have projects planned through to 2024 and they would always welcome her back.

Jon Lee, 41, admitted: "I mean for us, for everyone listening, whenever an article starts with a source said you have a pinch of salt.

Before 46-year-old Tina Barrett then interjected: "Yeah, who is this source?"

He continued: But you know, the one thing they did get right is that we are doing a 15 day tour cross country which starts in Birmingham on October the 12th.

Josie then enquired: "So the door is always open for Hannah?"

Whilst the band were in complete agreement, Rachel Stevens, 45, clearly stated: "The door is always open," as Tina called the rumours "nonsense".

Jo O'Meara, 44, then explained that although the main focus of the band was to plan their upcoming tour, they have plans going into next year as she hinted that they would like Hannah's involvement.

She explained: "We're doing a lot of stuff in 2024. So you never know what's going to happen in the future.

"But you know, just right now we're just really excited and really looking forward and concentrating on the tour and making it a really special show."

However, according to sources claiming to have insider knowledge, the rest of the band have apparently been “ordered not to speak to Hannah directly”.

It has been reported by The Sun that Hannah – who dated late S Club 7 bandmate Paul Cattermole – first realised she was not being included in the upcoming tour when the band went behind her back and filmed a social media post without her.

It is claimed the mum-of-two was about to sign her contract before she was “blindsided” after bosses went ahead with the launch.

The star has allegedly sought out legal advice which has reportedly led to weeks of tense negotiations between herself and the group.

Finally, band bosses asked her to rejoin the group earlier this year but Hannah has reportedly since claimed that she felt “betrayed” by what had gone on between them.

Sources have now claimed that although she has now put pen to paper on an agreement, there is “little to no chance” of her making an appearance on the tour due to the “bad blood” among the singers.

One insider claimed the outlet: “Hannah is devastated. She was pushed out and doesn’t understand why. The rest of S Club has been told not to contact her.”

Daily Star has reached out to Hannah and the group's representatives for a comment.
