Sharon Osbourne was ‘injected with ketamine’ after Meghan Markle race row

Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she was injected with ketamine to cope with the Meghan Markle race row that resulted in her leaving The Talk.

The TalkTV presenter has explained that the ketamine injections were a part of therapy to cope with the fallout from the row in 2021.

Sharon, 69, stuck up for her pal and now-colleague Piers Morgan during the huge race row that exploded after the Duchess of Sussex spoke to Oprah Winfrey in a tell-all interview.

Because she stuck up for her pal, she ended up losing her job on The Talk and needing to inject herself with ketamine, after feeling like a "lamb slaughtered".

Ketamine is a medication that doctors use as an anaesthetic, but can also be used to treat depression. Effects of the drug include sedation and reduced sense of pain.

"Three days a week, I would go in for two-and-a-half hours and I would have this treatment called ketamine treatment.

"It's something that they inject into you and it's sort of like a truth drug," she has revealed.

The former X Factor judge and flame haired beauty stood by her pal Piers and refused to apologise back in 2021 when everything erupted.

When she defended Piers she was then grilled by her co-hosts on The Talk, which led to a heated exchange with her colleague Sheryl Underwood.

The pair then had a very tense on-screen row where Sharon was accused of racism and as a result, the chat show was taken off air to investigate the incident.

Shortly after CBS, the channel that The Talk airs on, confirmed Sharon's departure from the show in a statement.

When Sharon left The Talk reports claimed that she was going to receive a bumper pay-out from channel.

A source told Page Six: “Sharon is walking away with a $5 to $10 million minimum pay-out and was able to spin that it was her decision to leave the show."

Sharon slammed CBS' handling of the events that led to her departure, and said: "I was this lamb slaughtered that morning and CBS denied responsibility."
