During Wednesday night’s episode of BBC’s Shetland, viewers saw detective Jimmy Perez (played by Douglas Henshall) continue to find the culprit behind the bomb explosion at the start of the series. However, when the forensic team were looking for evidence in a bedroom, viewers were left less than impressed with the show’s blunder.

At the start of the episode, Lloyd Anderson (Patrick Robinson) was arrested after it came to light he hadn’t been honest about his identity.

This resulted in Perez and the team going to his house to try and find any further potential evidence to link him to the crime.

Finding a hidden safe underneath the floorboards, the team discovered he had another passport with a different identity.

However, when people spotted the team handling potential evidence without wearing gloves, viewers were not happy.

Nyzi commented: “They are handling everything without gloves?

“Aye Perez just touch the evidence without gloves on, great work,” tweeted Elle.

Simo quipped: “Not sure they would let her wander around while doing forensics.”

Alan added: “No gloves Jimmy.”
