David Jason speaks to Lorraine about operation

Only Fool and Horses star Sir David Jason joined Lorraine Kelly where he gave an update on his recent hip operation and revealed he was feeling a lot better.

Back in August, David issued an update to his fans that he was unable to make the Only Fools and Horses Convention due to his hip operation.

He wrote on Facebook: “I am so very sorry for the disappointment and all the inconvenience it may cause but we are having to change the date of the forthcoming Only Fools and Horses Convention.

“Unfortunately, I have just been advised I need a new bionic body part fitted. I won’t tell you which part it is, or you will all want one!”

On Sunday, David shared an update with his fans after he posted a video of him chucking away his crutches and waking towards to the theme tune of Rocky.

Lorraine asked: “I have to ask you, how are you feelimg because you had your hip operatiom. We saw the video that went viral when you threw your crutches, are you ok? Are you on the mend?”

David opened up about his operation and told Lorraine: “Yes! I am on the mend! I am having a little trouble getting the muscles back.

“Because I was so in firm for two to three weeks and I wasn’t using the legs at all, so that is where I am at now

“I am getting it back, I am doing some exercises, but the hip itself is wonderful!”

Viewers of the show took to their X accounts, formerly know as Twitter, to send their love to David.
