Actor Mitch Hewer looks unrecognisable from his Skins character as he embraces new adventures and fatherhood.

Mitch starred in the iconic E4 drama about teenagers in Bristol who exasperated their parents.

Mitch welcomed his daughter into the world in November last year and has been since been living a private life with his wife an daughter.

He shared a picture where he held the tot in his arms writing: "Hello you " and adding a heart and the hashtag: "#Daddy."

Maxxie fans rushed to the comments section to congratulate the actor.

One said: "Omg Maxxie is a daddy. So beautiful."

A second wrote: "Maxie got a Baby."

A third commented: "A small Maxxie!"

These days Mitch has ditched his trademark blonde hair and gone for a dark look having also grown a beard..

Mitch was also the lead role for 19 episodes before going on to star as the main character Danny Miller in Britannia High.

And he’ll be widely-remembered for twice appearing as the cover star of gay magazine Attitude.

He also bared all in a naked show in aid of testicular cancer for Cosmopolitan and went on to find recognition in established medical drama Casualty.

Mitch is still an actor and has played roles as Robin Hood and other well-known characters in live productions over the past few years.

He has attracted 114k Instagram followers and often posts thought-provoking captions.

“Use your smile to change the world, don’t let the world change your smile,” he said in one of his many posts.

Another one simply read: “Be fearless in the pursuit of your dreams.”

Mitch celebrated his 33rd birthday in July and in a true Maxxie manner he celebrated in style as he ziplined through the woods and looked ecstatic as he did so.

The star recived plenty of celebratory comments from fans wishing him well on his special day.

One person wrote: "Happy belated birthday Maxxie."

A second said: "Happy Birthday….33 suits u. Make it a good one."

While a third penned: "Happy birthday Mitch, hope you had a wonderful day."

He occasionally references his Skins appearance on social media – delighting fans when he shared a topless snap of him as Maxxie.

He wrote: "No beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart #tbt #skins #maxxie #blondehair."

Mitch appeared in Skins as Maxxie during seasons one and two and was hit with multiple intense scenes throughout his time on the series.

In his final episode, Maxxie and boyfriend James moved to London together to take the next step in their relationship, and therefore had a happy ending to the controversial show.
