A TRIO of the nation's favourite soaps will be scrapped next week to make way for the football.
BBC show EastEnders – as well as ITV stalwarts Emmerdale and Coronation Street – will all make way for the beautiful game in a huge schedule shake up.
The FA Cup competition's fifth round is the culprit – meaning the three shows will all be scrapped on Wednesday, March 1.

Manchester United's competition clash with West Ham at Old Trafford will air on both the BBC and ITV, with a 7:45pm kick off.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, Emmerdale returns to its original 7pm slot while EastEnders is culled completely as Fulham's home clash against Leeds is again aired across both channels at the same time.
Yet there is a glimmer of hope for sorry soap fans.

To make up for missed episodes, there will be a double bill of EastEnders on Friday.
Emmerdale's Friday episode will last 60 minutes instead of 30 and Coronation Street's Wednesday instalment will switch to Thursday at 8pm.
Last month, Corrie fans were fuming as the soap was cancelledfor the same FA Cup tournament.
Meanwhile in September, they were all cancelled to make way for the Queen's funeral, as a mark of respect.
