Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) resorts to desperate measures in upcoming Coronation Street episodes as she realises she needs cash to save her businesses – and fast.
She calls on Ryan (Ryan Prescott) to help stage a break-in at the bistro so they can make a claim on the insurance after.
Ryan – always desperate for cash – decides to take part in the plan but is furious when he learns Debbie has changed her mind.
Ignoring Debbie’s wishes, Ryan tells her that he’s going to fuse the electrics and grab the cash from the safe during the Casino Night.
With the restaurant in darkness, the customers have no choice but to leave and file into the Rovers.
Elsewhere, as Ryan stuffs the cash into his bag, Leanne (Jane Danson) arrives and he’s forced to hide.
The plan ends up working so part 2 gets underway – Ryan calls the police.
Craig (Colson Smith) arrives and questions Debbie, Leanne and Nick (Ben Price) about the break-in, and then calls into the pub to question Ryan.
However, when Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) reveals that the CCTV has a back-up circuit and won’t have been affected by the power cut, Debbie realises how things will play out.
When the CCTV is played, Leanne, Nick, Debbie and Ronnie (Vinta Morgan) see that Ryan is the perpetrator.
Arrested on suspicion of theft, Ryan undergoes a police interview – but can he keep himself out of prison?
Or is Ryan about to lose everything?
