Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) with be given some shocking news in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, which will leave him horrified.

It will be revealed to him that his dad, Bill Webster, has had a heart attack.

Bill, who last appeared on our screens back in 2011, has had two previous heart attacks.

The second of those proved very serious, and resulted in Kevin travelling to Germany in order to care for him.

It is no wonder that Kevin is concerned, given Bill’s history.

With Kevin preoccupied with worrying about his dad’s health, we’re left wondering what this will mean for his relationship with Abi (Sally Carman).

Things has never been plain sailing for the couple, especially after the death of Abi’s son, Seb.

Abi ended up sleeping with Imran Habeeb, falling pregnant with his child, before turning back to drink and drugs in order to cope.

However, she managed to turn things around following Imran’s death, with the help of Kevin and Wendy Crozier (Roberta Kerr).

It took a long time, but Kevin and Abi finally seem settled.

Producer Iain MacLeod told us in December that he hoped for more happy storylines for the pair going forward.

‘We want [Abi] and Kevin to be happy but never too comfortable so its boring,’ he said, adding that he ‘will throw stuff at them’.

We’re not entirely sure how this new shock for Kevin will play out, or what it will mean for the couple, but we trust Iain’s vision.

Could Bill end up making a shock return to the Street so that Kevin can take care of him, or will this story see Kevin exit?

We’ll have to wait and see.
