Maria Connor’s (Samia Longchambon) paranoia continued to grow in Coronation Street tonight as the trolling got so much worse.

Maria started being trolled online after making some decisions as a councillor about bins and recycling.

Already, someone photoshopped her head onto the body of a naked woman, which made it look as though she was in a porn film and tonight, looking over her shoulder became a regular occurrence for Maria.

Maria attended a meeting with Kelly (Millie Gibson) in the episode, but she was far too focused on recent events and trying to figure out who is behind the online account.

Returning home after a horrible encounter with a dodgy guy, Maria received a notification that revealed her phone was being tracked and someone knows where she is.

Maria was stunned and, in the café, Nina (Mollie Gallagher) found the small tracker in her bag.

Heading straight to the police station, Maria realised there may be more than one person behind the hateful act – finding them isn’t going to be easy.

Back at the flat, Maria put on a brave face, but she couldn’t help glance outside and wonder if she’s being watched.

Will we ever find out who is behind this hate campaign?
