Angela Scanlon gives Strictly Come Dancing update

Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson seems to have dropped a huge hint as to what Zara McDermott’s first dance on Strictly Come Dancing will be.

During his Hits Radio stint on Monday night, he revealed to his listeners: “I’ve been dancing a lot in my household – the prep is real at our gaff.

“I genuinely think I’ve waltzed around the kitchen with Zara about 50 times right now and I don’t even know how to waltz!”

Could Zara be waltzing her way into the competition to impress the judges?

Fans of the BBC One dancing competition are yet to find out who the contestants have been paired with for their Strictly journey.

Last week, Sam joined former Strictly finalist Fleur East with many suggesting that he accidentally revealed who she was paired with.

Fleur asked: “I need to ask if you’re ready for this,” to which he laughed and replied: “I don’t understand any of this, what do I have to do?”

She added: “So the first thing I need to ask you is, are you a jealous person?” before Sam said: “If you’re off dancing with someone else, as long as I am playing FIFA, I’m cool!”

In the background, a man could be heard joking: “Next week she’ll be in an affair with Neil [Jones]” leaving Sam to ask: “Who’s Neil?” brushing off the comment.

During his Monday show, Sam also revealed the way in which he intends to support his Love Island girlfriend but was shot down when she admitted she wanted her parents there.

He explained: “The fever is growing, all systems go! I’m so excited to watch her, I’m going to start making my banners, I can’t wait.

“Although she only gets two tickets to go to the live shows and she’s already told me that she wants her parents to go to the majority of them so I’ll guess I’ll be standing outside. But I don’t care I will be there!”
