Strictly unveils BBC presenter Nikita Kanda as ninth contestant

BBC Asian Network host Nikita Kanda may not be the most-well known star on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up but she’s certainly ready to get glammed up and step onto the dance floor.

Earlier this year, Nikita took some time off from her job at the BBC to soak up the sun in Mexico.

In throwback snaps posted to her Instagram page, she looks incredible as she lies in a hammock, poses on a swing and hits the pool.

One photo shows Nikita reclining in a bright neon yellow bikini as she showcases her long legs.

She can be seen running her hand through her hair as she looks away from the camera.

In another sizzling snap, Nikita poses on a wooden swing in a pink bikini with a white shirt as a cover up.

She told fans “Call me señorita,” as she sports a pair of sunglasses and twirls her hair.

Meanwhile, in a video, Nikita can seen swimming in a long pool in a neon two-piece, spinning around on the beach n a long skirt and bikini top.

Fans commented on the post with many leaving heart eye emojis and flame emojis while one wrote: “Smoking hot.”

Someone else posted: “Seriously… I’m so jealous. Hope you’re having a fabulous time baby girl.”

Not long after Nikita was back at work and interviewing the likes of Nick Jonas, abseiling down Anfield Football Stadium, and chatting to the Real Housewives of Cheshire.

Nikita will be hoping to lift the Glitterball Trophy at the end of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

She said of signing up: “I can’t believe I’m going to be on Strictly. This is a dream come true.

“I’m still pinching myself. I don’t think it will properly sink in until I step onto the dancefloor.

“I can’t wait to get glammed up and get out there. Throw the glitter on me!”

When all 15 celebrities were confirmed, Nikita found herself as the third favourite to win.
