STRICTLY Come Dancing fans were left stunned after Shirley Ballas kissed a professional dancer – in front of his girlfriend.

The much-loved Strictly Come Dancing judge, 62, planted a smooch on Kai Widdrington, 27, as they completed a lively samba routine.


The dance was part of Strictly Come Dancing's annual professionals dance, where the four judges get involved to open the season.

Shirley looked amazing in a cobalt blue dress with a ruffled feather hem.

After a few twirls on the dance floor fans were left gobsmacked when she grabbed his face for a kiss.

One took to Twitter to write: "Why was there a need for that kiss with Shirley Kai are you serious? 😂 #strictly."

Another BBC fan then surmised: "Kai and Shirley samba not something I knew I needed."

It came right at the moment Kai was standing on the same stage as girlfriend Nadiya Bychkova – a fellow professional this year partnered with Matt Goss.

They also attempted the challenging Angel Lift, which saw West lift and spin Buswell over his head – which secured them a score of 21.

Speaking about the performance Shirley said the atmosphere they created was "stunning", but advised him to work on learning the different footwork techniques.
