Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola have undeniable chemistry in the Strictly ballroom – and fans are convinced their connection goes beyond the dancefloor.

Romance rumours have been mounting around the couple for weeks, and even ex- contestant Amanda Abbington deemed them a "beautiful couple". But four steamy on-screen moments may have confirmed that they are dating.

Vito, 31, kissed Corrie star Ellie, 22, three times right after they danced the rumba to Cyndi Lauper's True Colors during the live show on Saturday (November 11). The Italian hunk was over the moon with her performance and seemingly unable to contain his excitement and affection for his partner.

Right after the dance finished, Vito held Ellie and kissed her on the cheek before hugging her. Later, he kissed her again, this time on the cheek, as the judges gave their feedback.

He could be seen wrapping his arms around Ellie and even planted a fourth smooch on the soap star as they scored a whopping 35 points out of 40 from the judges. It would be enough to persuade many that he's head over heels for Ellie, who played Faye Windass on the cobbles.

A friend of Vito's told The Sun: "Ellie and Vito have been spending hours and hours together every day and they have really clicked. It seems like he has helped restore her faith in men after the break-up earlier in the year.

"No one would be surprised if they go public with a relationship because they are incredibly close and practically joined at the hip at the moment. Right now they have to be careful not to make things complicated with too many feelings.

But it appears they might go public with their alleged romance soon. The source added: "But he is a red-blooded man and she is absolutely stunning, so it feels like it’s only a matter of time."

It's said Ellie is now single following reports in May that she split from her boyfriend Reagan Pettman, also a dancer, after five years. There were allegations that he cheated on her.

A source previously told The Sun: "Ellie has the world at her feet after stepping away from Corrie and she has taken time to reflect on which direction her life is going in. Ellie and Reagan decided to call things a day and she is making the most of her single status."

Ellie's exit scenes also aired on Corrie in May, having played Faye on the soap since she was just nine-years-old. Vito is believed to be single.
