Strictlys Bobby Brazier claims I dont want to be known

EastEnders star Bobby Brazier joins Strictly Come Dancing 2023

Strictly Come Dancing’s Bobby Brazier has admitted that he doesn’t “want to be known completely” despite starring in BBC soap and his famous parents.

Bobby was in the spotlight from a young age after his parents Jeff Brazier and Jade Goody met back in 2002 after both shooting to stardom on TV shows.

The pair were together for two years and welcomed their two children Bobby Jack Brazier and Freddie Brazier.

Despite the couple splitting in 2004, the boys were still known to the public and were often seen out and about with their parents.

Bobby previously opened up about being in the spotlight and admitted that he didn’t want to be “known completely”.

Bobby sat down with The Only Way is Essex star Joey Essex for Tings Magazine to discuss his whirlwind rise to fame, working with Dolce & Gabbana, and being a teenage heart-throb.

Joey said: “But obviously, I remember seeing you as a young kid. I can remember what you looked like.

“But you’ve grown up so much since the age of ten. I didn’t even recognize you. I didn’t even know who you were until I heard someone say Brazier.”

Smiling at the thought of not being known, Bobby explained: “Yeah, but I like that. Modelling has given me my own identity away from my parents.

“It’s only getting better for me, and bigger for me. That’s something that I think about a lot. I don’t want to be known completely…

“I know it’s going to happen because of who my parents are. But I also want to be Bobby; you know what I mean.

“That’s why I get excited when girls come up to me and say, ‘Bobby, you are that model. Ain’t ya?’

“While with some older women, it is like, ‘You are Jade’s kid or Jeff’s kid.’ Obviously, I’m proud of the Brazier surname.”

According to bookmakers William Hill, Bobby looks set to take home the Glitterball Trophy with odds of 3/1.

The EastEnders actor knocked off West End star Layton Williams from the top spot and left him with odds of 4/1.
