TASKMASTER fans have been left twiddling their thumbs after the latest series came to a head last month.
The thirteenth season of Channel 4's flagship show introduced us to five new intrepid competitors who have faced an array of unusual challenges over the last ten weeks.
They’ve had to find Alex Horne’s shoe, throw him a 60-second stag do and recreate a great moment from history using two traffic cones, among many, many other bizarre tasks.
Each week, the contestants must bring in an item that meets a certain brief, whether that is the object you would most like to show to an alien, or the object with the best handle.
The winner of each episode takes home the five items brought in that week, which is often more of a curse than a blessing.
The most recent series featured Sophie Duker – the overall winner – Ardal O'Hanlon, Bridget Christie, Chris Ramsey and Judi Love.

With the finale now done and dusted, fans of the critically-acclaimed show have taken to Twitter in their droves to share their disappointment that it's over.
Alongside a picture of Boris Johnson with his head in his hands, one person penned: "And so we face the first post Taskmaster Thursday evening. Sigh."
Echoing their comments, someone else said: "I'm trying to fill the Thursday void now that I have no Taskmaster to look forward to."
