The Chase fans all say the same thing as show returns after schedule shake up | The Sun

THE Chase fans all had the same reaction to yesterday's episode as the show returned following schedule shake ups.

The much-loved ITV quiz show returned to screens yesterday after the channel was forced to ditch a number of shows to make way for rolling news coverage.

It comes following the death of Her Majesty The Queen last week at the age of 96.

As viewers shared in their delight of The Chase being back on air, which is presented by Bradley Walsh, they were introduced to four brand new contestants.

Andrew from London, Amy from Edinburgh, Jean from Lincolnshire and Success from Romford came together in the hope that as a team they can beat the Chaser.

Anne Hegerty was revealed as the Chaser to beat, as the brainbox tried her best to sabotage the team's efforts to win cash.

Despite a rocky start from Andrew, who revealed his wife asked him for a pool table should he bring home money, the team amazed viewers at home.

By the final round they had bagged £28,000 as 'The Governess' Anne slipped up in her efforts to stop the four hopefuls.

As the clock ran down to zero, host Bradley Walsh announced that Andrew, Amy, Success and Jean had beaten the Chaser.

"That was brilliant, that actually was brilliant, seriously," declared Walsh, 62.

Each contestant walked away with £7k each following the win.

"Incredible team tonight, deserved every penny," said Paige.

The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV.
