On Thursday’s instalment of Loose Women, viewers got to see an all-male takeover with Jordan Banjo, Ore Oduba, Andi Peters and Shaun Wallace hosting. During the show, the four men touched on a variety of topics from mental health to body image and their own love lives. Although The Chase star keeps a low profile when he’s not on TV, he made an open confession surrounding his romantic life.
Thursday’s instalment of the ITV show saw the return of Loose Men as Jordan, Andi, Ore and Shaun took over from the regular all-female panel.
At the start of the show, the four panellists touched on the topic of marriage as they revealed that rates are falling faster than ever.
As Andi addressed his co-hosts, he asked whether or not people have really fallen out of love and getting wed.
With Jordan only getting married two months ago, he shared his thoughts on the subject claiming that although he understands some people think it’s old-fashioned, for him it’s brought everything full circle.
Once he and Ore, who is also married, gave their insight into the recent marriage decline they turned to The Chase star to get his input on the matter.
Shaun confessed: “I mean I’ve never been married.
“Although, according to Wikipedia I was married to a woman called Martha for about 30 years!”
Shaun’s remark made the live audience erupt into laughter before he continued to share his thoughts on marriage.
The Chase star continued: “Marriage is not for everybody but I think as far as marriage is concerned, it’s a wonderful institution that still should be part of our everyday society.
“But, you don’t have to get married in order to be in a loving, committed and honest relationship.”
Shaun told the Loose Men panel that he has friends that have been together for decades who aren’t married and their relationship is just as strong.
Jordan interjected by asking: “Shaun, you’ve never been married?
“That explains why you’re allowed to go on lads’ holidays! Now I understand.”
The Diversity star’s comment comes after the panel had previously touched on whether or not boys’ holidays should be banned once you get into a relationship.
During their chat, Shaun shared that he had just returned from his own lads’ holiday as viewers got to see a snap of him and his friends in Portugal.
Speaking about the debate, he said: “There I am! Four nights of raving with the boys!
