The One Show fans were left fuming at the length of The Repair Shop Christmas Special snippet, which some say ruined the Christmas Special episode for them.

During Monday night's (December 19) show, presenters Michelle Ackerley and McFly's Harry Judd showed audiences a "sneak peak" at what viewers can expect from The Repair Shop's Christmas episode.

But the snippet went on to show the majority of the repair process, including meeting the family and the broken item and the experts putting it back together and giving it a revamp.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their outrage, with one writing: "No need to watch that part of the Christmas @TheRepairShop as #theoneshow have given away the surprise. Well done, complete spoiler. Thanks @BBCOne – idiots".

A second wrote: "Christ I thought you were going to show the whole episode there. What is that all about."

Others went in hard on The One Show, sarcastically thanking them for "spoiling" the episode which is due to air on Boxing Day (26th December).

"So #theoneshow has just ruined #therepairshop christmas episode by showing the Santa being fixed and what it looks like. No point watching now ffs", a third tweeted.

"Thanks for spoiling the Christmas Repair Shop @BBC #TheOneShow" another added.

The Repair Shop follows a crew of expert craftsmen restore antique items and heirlooms, returning them to their owners in a revamped condition, proving that anything can be returned to its former glory.

Their Christmas episode follows a similar theme and will see the team bring back to life beloved Christmas items that have been lost to time.

The synopsis for their 2022 Christmas show reveals exactly what fans can expect from the 59-minute episode.

"Adding a touch of pizazz to a 1960s home bar, which once formed the cornerstone of family Christmas parties for a newly arrived Caribbean family, are woodwork wizard Will Kirk and restoration royalty Dominic Chinea", it states.

The synopsis also says: "Expert duo Steve Fletcher and Kirsten Ramsay face their own festive challenge in the form of a bent and bedraggled Christmas tree that’s been at the heart of family festivities for over 100 years."
