The Tourist is the six-part BBC miniseries that will follow a British ex-pat as he is hunted down in Australia. Losing his memory after being run off the road by a truck, the man scrambles to piece together his previous life. The show is bringing together a cast of familiar faces and Express.co.uk has all the details.

Who is in the cast of The Tourist episode one?

The Man – Jamie Dornan

Jamie Dornan leads the series as The Man, the elusive figure that finds himself lost and alone at the start of the series.

Viewers meet him before his accident though, as he is forced off the road by a massive truck in the middle of the Australian outback.

Waking up in hospital soon after, he is suffering from amnesia, and all he knows is that some people from his past want him dead.

Dornan is known for Death and Nightingales, The Fall, and for playing Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. 

Luci – Shalom Brune-Franklin

Shortly after leaving the hospital, The Man meets Luci, a young woman working in a diner out in the sticks.  

Luci and The Man immediately click, with her infectious energy proving to be exactly what he needs in a world completely alone.

However, Luci has a dark past herself, one that she is not ready to share.

Played by Shalom Brune-Franklin, the star is best known for Line of Duty, Roadkill, and Cursed.

DI Lachlan Rogers – Damon Herriman 

DI Lachlan Rogers is assigned to The Man’s case at the start of the series.

He is helping track down the truck that ran Tha Man off the road, along with helping him discover his true identity.

Lachlan doesn’t take any nonsense, working tirelessly to get to the bottom of what is going on in his backwater town.

Played by Damon Herriman, the star is best known for playing Charles Manson in Mindhunter and Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood. 

Helen Chambers – Danielle MacDonald 

Helen Chambers works closely with Lachlan throughout the series, though she is the more earnest and easygoing of the pair.

She struggles with her confidence, especially when it comes to her weight.

However, she is more than capable of getting the job done, and her determination shines through her work.

Played by Danielle MacDonald, the star is best known for Birdbox and Unbelievable. 

Kostas – Alex Dimitriades 

Alex Dimitriades plays Kostas, a wealthy and powerful man that doesn’t like to get his hands dirty.

He will be at odds with The Man, though his motivations remain unclear.

Kostas doesn’t like to get involved in his work directly, so he will remain mysterious throughout most of the show.

Dimitriades is best known for Total Control, The End, and Amazing Grace.

The Tourist will premiere on Saturday, January 1, 2022, on BBC One in the UK. The show will debut on HBO Max in early 2022 in the USA.
